Balanced Weigh University


The University portion of the program offers the education piece on weight management. The educational group sessions occur once per week. Weigh-ins take place at the beginning to keep you accountable to your goals.

Balanced Weigh offers a comprehensive weight loss program designed for those who are seeking nutrition education, group support and an individualized approach to weight-loss. We understand that successful weight loss is achieved in part by group accountability, weekly weigh-ins and self-monitoring. Weight loss is not a quick fix and is only accomplished through sustainable life-style changes.

Why Group Sessions?
Studies have shown that those achieving weight loss in a group setting are far more likely to achieve their goals, compared to those who go it alone. With 5-8 participants per session, you won't feel lost in the crowd. The groups are educational but also offer opportunity for support, accountability and feeling understood.

Weekly Learning Topics Include:
  • What weight management is
  • How to read a nutrition food label and appropriate serving sizes
  • How to increase exercise and incorporate daily movement
  • How stress and emotions can affect your weight and effective management tools
  • What to do when eating out and how to handle special occasion eating
  • How weight plateaus happen and how to push past them
  • How to meal plan and how to incorporate healthy cooking techniques
  • How to handle lapsing into old patterns

Tuesday Evenings 5:30-7:00pm
