Rebecca Adams RD, LD, CEDS-C graduated from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI with a Bachelors of Science in Community and Medical Dietetics and minors in Psychology and Spanish. She completed her internship at Castlewood Treatment Center for Eating Disorders where she subsequently worked for nearly 5 years.
Rebecca founded Balanced Nutrition Therapy, LLC in October 2012 and has helped many people in pursuit of Eating Disorder recovery on an outpatient level of care using intuitive eating, motivational interviewing strategies, and creative alternatives when "stuck points" are reached. While Rebecca remains an expert of Nutritional Management in Eating Disorder Treatment, Rebecca's other professional focuses are in Sports Nutrition and Corporate Wellness. Rebecca has a lot of experience working with athletes (with and without eating disorders) as well. Rebecca has competed in sprint, Olympic, half, and Ironman distance races. In addition to triathlons, she has competed in numerous foot races ranging from track events to marathon and various road cycling competitions. As an athlete herself, she is able to bring personal experience in addition to professional experience when working with cyclists, runners, triathletes, and endurance athletes. Rebecca is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant and is able to educate clinicians and provides consultation and supervision to dietitians looking to expand their knowledge base and better help clients struggling with an eating disorder. |
